Today it was just a riding day, we left Bessemer, AL this morning to head home. The temps were mild with slight gray skies riding out I-20 East to US 78 East to Buckhanan Hwy then on to the house. Our final note from the ride is that we were able to endure the trip, but we did discover that we do better with cooler temps and less miles per day. We truly enjoyed the ride and the fellowship with our brothers and sisters and already looking forward to the next journey. It is all due to our Heavenly Father’s grace. Again, thanks for the prayers. Have great and bless night. Sorry no pictures just miles today. Here is an update on the Cody gang they are in Colorado to ride The Garden of the Gods. They are doing will.

Last night we had another issue with the modern invention known as the internet. So, this evening I will try to catch you all up over the last couple of days. Yesterday June 09, we left West Monroe, LA heading to Laurel, MS. The skies were lite blue with patches of gray and temps in the low 80’s. We rode out I- 20 East to US 425 south once in Mississippi we took 84 East to Laurel. After checking in the hotel and some rest; we were ready for that famous time known as dinner. We had dinner at the Blue Crab, yes, another mom and pop place. Absolutely worth the ride you won’t regret. Here is our thought for the day, we saw a couple of signs 1st Love is ageless 2nd He is able Think about the Father’s love and the Son’s obedience (John3:16). One last thing Phil and I met Chuck who has a tumor on his back, please pray for this brother. June10 today after breakfast we rode over to Hellfighters USA in Laurel. After visitation and some shopping. we headed out on I-59 North to I-20 East. The weather was a repeat of yesterday. One thing we did notice if the temperature remained under 90 degrees it was a pretty comfortable ride. We are in Bessemer, AL for the night. We Hope to be home sometime tomorrow. Your prayers are very much appreciated. Thanks, and God’s Speed.

This morning was time spent in the Lord’s house, so while we are in the area we decided to visit White Ferry Road Church. The home church for the Robertson Family. We came to early service to hear a message a message by Jersey Joe, then at the 10:00 service Alan Robertson brought the message on Crossing the Jordan, on another note the membership was very warm and welcoming: we did get to see Jase and Miss Kay. If I was ever in the area, I would definitely visit it again. So, after the services it was time to say our goodbyes to the Cody gang as they are heading to Cody WY. and Phil, Michèle and I are heading to Hellfighters in Laurel, MS. before returning home. This evening the local Mom and Pop places were closed, so we had to try a chain store Laughing Crab it was good, but you cannot justly compare chain to Mom and Pop that’s just my opinion M&P from my experience wins most of the time. Today’s learning came from the message from the book Joshua 3 Crossing the Jordan. take time to read and ask the Holy Spirit to reveal the wisdom and understanding of God’s words. Final thought please remember us and the Cody Gang in your prayers. May the Lord be the Light that guides your path as journey through this thing we call life. Good night and God bless each of you. Thanks, Brother Bobby, for your love and support.

After a short period of rest it was dinner time, yes you are correct another one of our favorites Trapps it is on the river. here is the thought for today the brothers and sisters here are family because of faith (John1:12). Be blessed good night.

Sorry for the delay on Day 2, no internet last night. So let’s try it now. This morning as we prepared to leave Leeds, AL for Philadelphia, MS we started with a temp of 75Degs. and clear blue skies; then for the rest of the day the temperature would range anywhere from 93 to102.On our final run into the town of Philadelphia the clouds turned dark gray they opened up and the bottom dropped out. With God’s grace we mad safely to the hotel. Later in the evening it was dinner time, we prefer MoM & POP type places or sometimes that little hole in the wall hideaways, such it with Blakes Seafood. Yes, another one of those worth the stop places. Here lesson learned today, it’s great to have brothers who have your six no matter the circumstances (Proverbs 17:17) Thanks Buckey, M Gun, and Tec Mo. Hope everyone has a wonderful and restful night, until later, to God be the glory, Amen.

WE headed home this morning from Olive Branch, MS after having breakfast @ the Neighborhood Grill. Friendly service and good country cooking. Running through the Storms in west Georgia, we finally made it home to complete our journey of 6927 miles. Michele did the driving, and I tried my hand at navigation We had a wonderful and amazing time seeing an experiencing God’s creation. we had several opportunities to fellowship, pray with people on this journey Like Michele said we left crosses across American. I am a highly blessed and thankful man to have such a caring, devoted and loving wife. Amen. She did a great job on planning the trip and making the arrangements.

After breakfast @ Waffle House, first one we have seen since leaving the South. It sure was good to have some southern grease. We completed our drive across Arkansas today. We are now in Olive Branch, Mississippi for the night. WE drove in the temps in the 100’s with the highest being 115 degrees over the last several days. We are going to call it a early night and get some rest. God’s Speed, be blessed. Amen

Before leaving this morning, we had breakfast at Farmhouse Cafe just off Route 66 in Shamrock, TX. Once again it was back on I 40 East towards Arkansas. In the last few days, we have crossed Nevada, New Mexico, Texas and Oklahoma. Today before leaving OK, we stopped in Clinton to check out the Route 66 museum. Route 66 was the first major highway built in 1926 That connected the Midwest to the West Coast. 66 lasted until the 70’s when the government decided we needed more lanes That being the modern-day interstate system. In 1986 Route 66 was decommission. Following its demise, the local mom and pop motels, restaurants as well as other small businesses that fell by the wayside. In today’s world it is the local citizens who keep the history alive as well as the maintenance of the existing road. The History of 66 and its reminiscence, reminds us of a simpler life of times gone by. I have been blessed to ride different pieces of 66 through MO, OK. TX, NM. today was another long day, like the old saying, sometimes you just have stop and smell the roses in this case today stop enjoy the sights and history around you. God Bless and may you have a peaceful and restful night.

After a quick bite this morning it was back East on I 40, for another long day. We did take time to stop at Thunder Bird Harley. where we got to fellowship with two of the salesmen and leave them both with a Cross. Then it was time to continue our journey east. we arrived at Shamrock, Texas in the late evening to eat at one of our favorite places, the Mesquite Canyon Steakhouse just off route 66. now it’s that time again to say have a blessed night. Here is a couple of final thoughts. first, we must be prepared in season and out of season for we never know when the opportunity will present itself to plant or to water. lastly something I believe to be true; profit is not progress if it’s headed in the wrong direction. Think about it. until the next time be blessed and have a great night.

Today was primarily a travel day. First thing this morning it was back to East Route 669Mike & Rhonda’s) for breakfast. Later it was East on I 40towards New Mexico. We traveled by the Petrified Forest and the Painted Desert. Traveled over places like Walnut canyon, Diablo Canyon, Keams Canyon, Crazy Creek, Dead River. And along the sides of Rabbit Wash, Buffalo Range and Jack Rabbit Road. Not Much else to talk about. Time for some rest, because tomorrow will be a long day. have a blessed evening, God’s Speed. Here is a though to ponder. Be the type of person that you would like to meet. Very true, but very hard to do at times. But it shouldn’t stop us from trying.
